About me

Me & my Guzzi Norge on the Spluegen PassMe & my Guzzi Norge on the Spluegen PassI'm a Swiss born Guzzi-aficionado and petrolhead. When I was a kid - I must have been around 5 years old - I noticed a racy motorcycle parked in the streets and I was blown away: it was the famous V7 Sport and I still remember reading the name "Moto Guzzi" on the fuel tank and admiring the eagle on the petrol tank.  I've started to ride Guzzi motorcycles at the age of 21 when I got my first Guzzi, a used 1981 Le Mans III. Bought it cheap and spent some bucks to refurbish it and to improve it - G&G inlet manifolds, Lanfranconi pipes, spur gear instead of timing chain. Since then, the Guzzi passion kept the fire burning inside me.

I got the motorcycle license before I was able to drive a car and didn't regret it :-).

I like all Guzzis - although I still miss my first Guzzi, the LM III which I consider as the best Guzzi ever built. Current bikes: 2004 Breva 750 & 2010 Norge 1200 GT.

Since a couple of years now, the eagle from Mandello is back on the market again. Improved quality, better delivery of spare parts and more dealers make Guzzi more popular again. The launch of the new California 1400 and the improved V7 has widened the existing model range and the sales figures have grown considerably. So let's see what's more to come in the future: A V7 Scrambler, a 950 racer or the long awaited watercooled Le Mans 1300? It seems the future looks pretty bright again - and time will tell.

I regret I didn't have the chance to own and to enjoy a Spada Mark I and the lovely V11 Le Mans Tenni. So dreams remain - may be for good.

Always ride safe and with a big smile!
